NASA Crew-13 Completes Crucial Dry Dress Rehearsal for 2026 ISS Mission
- •NASA's SpaceX Crew-13 astronauts have completed a "dry dress rehearsal" at Space Launch Complex 40 in Florida, a full practice run for their upcoming journey to the International Space Station (ISS).
- •A "dry dress rehearsal" involves astronauts donning their launch suits and practicing all pre-launch procedures without an actual powered launch, ensuring readiness for the real event.
- •During the rehearsal, Crew-13 astronauts practice suiting up, traveling to the launch complex, and entering the Crew Dragon spacecraft, while ground teams rehearse communications and other critical procedures.
- •This practice is vital for coordinating hundreds of individual procedures and multiple teams, helping to identify and resolve any potential issues before the actual launch.
- •The four-person Crew-13 mission, including NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins, Luke Delaney, Joshua Kutryk, and Sergey Teteryatnikov, is scheduled to launch no earlier than October 1, 2026, at 11:10 a.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
