The mobile application was launched by the Purba Medinipur District Police to ensure the overall safety and guidance of tourists visiting Digha, Mandarmani, and Tajpur during festivals and holidays. It provides real-time traffic updates, weather disaster forecasts, tide schedules, and an SOS button for instant emergency assistance.
The app features a special SOS button that, when touched during a sudden danger in the sea, directly places a call to the nearest lifeguard or 'Nulia'. The lifeguards can then reach the accident site within moments to initiate rescue operations.
Travelers can access real-time updates regarding traffic situations, potential traffic jams, and accidents along the entire route from Kolaghat to Digha. This allows tourists to choose alternative routes in advance and avoid long traffic congestions.
