Jailer 2 Review: Rajinikanth Shines But Sequel Loses Steam
- •Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, delivering strong swag, commanding screen presence, and entertaining mass moments in the first half.
- •Director Nelson Dilipkumar blends dark humour, stylised action, and Anirudh Ravichander's pulsating background score to create fan-service highlights.
- •The sequel struggles with an uneven screenplay, sluggish pacing over its 2 hour 45 minute runtime, and a lacklustre climax that fails to match the original.
- •Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty, and SJ Suryah join the cast, though some major characters feel underwritten and sidelined in the narrative.
- •Forced celebrity cameos and weak CGI in action sequences take away from the overall scale, leaving the film feeling formulaic in its second half.
