The new deadline to obtain and register for an NCMC card is October 1, 2026. Starting from this date, the card will be mandatory for senior citizens, Amrut senior citizens, and women passengers to avail concession schemes.
Passengers who have registered can use the QR code receipt given at the time of registration, which remains valid for 30 days. This receipt can be scanned on the conductor's ETM machine to receive concession tickets, provided the card is activated and topped up within that period.
If fingerprints cannot be captured due to biometrics issues, an alternative registration procedure is available using an OTP sent to the mobile number linked to the passenger's Aadhaar card.
