Key Questions Answered
The Integrated Command and Control Centre of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee was launched to monitor pollution sources across the city, including construction sites, open burning incidents, mechanical road sweepers, and enforcement activities. It operates in three shifts and provides 24-hour surveillance using AI-driven cameras.
Construction sites measuring more than 500 square metres are actively monitored through the newly launched command and control system. In total, 707 sites are currently kept under watch to curb urban pollution levels.
Officials inspecting polluting industries and other sites are equipped with body cameras. This technology allows authorities to track whether officials are physically present at the assigned locations and whether proper action has been taken.
