Key Questions Answered
Despite fatigue and jet lag from traveling back after the Asian Games gold-medal triumph, captain Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 102 to secure a dominant eight-wicket win for India.
Shai Hope blamed his team's chaotic batting and lack of sufficient runs in the back end for their total of 171, while also noting that playing with only two spinners put extra pressure on their bowling resources.
Ishan Kishan stated that he made his job easy by simply keeping Iyer on strike because Iyer was timing the ball exceptionally well and keeping the team's momentum going.
