Key Questions Answered

To boost mountain tourism during the Durga Puja season, the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) has resumed river rafting on the Teesta River and paragliding in Kalimpong.

River rafting operates on routes from Tarkhola and Melli up to Teestabazaar on the Teesta River, while Kalimpong paragliding takes place across two designated routes: Delo to Graham's Home and Rellikhola.

Paragliding cannot be launched in Darjeeling right now due to unfavorable weather conditions, whereas the popular service in Rohini, Kurseong, has been suspended due to infrastructural issues with no current plans for resumption.
