Sealdah Division Announces 51 Special Trains for Durga Puja

To manage the extra passenger rush during Durga Puja, the Sealdah Division will operate 51 special EMU trains daily from October 16 to 21. Last year during the same period, 31 special EMU trains ran daily, meaning 20 additional special EMUs will run every day this time.
Every day from 2 PM onwards for the entirety of the Puja, all suburban MEMU and EMU trains will halt at all halt and flag stations. This ensures passengers at stations where certain trains typically do not stop after the afternoon will also benefit.
Four special EMU trains will run on the Sealdah–Ranaghat–Lalgola route from October 10 to 15. This service is intended for passengers from the Lalgola branch who travel to Kolkata for shopping ahead of the festival.
