Maruti Suzuki is developing its own strong hybrid technology in-house rather than using Toyota's technology as it did previously. Suzuki Motor Corporation is working on a next-generation 48V Super Ene-Charge (SEC) hybrid system designed for lightweight, economical vehicles, which will be equipped alongside a new turbo petrol engine in the Fronx.
The Renault Bridger Hybrid is expected to have a starting price ranging from 7 to 8 lakhs. While its standard petrol variant is anticipated to deliver an 18 km mileage, the hybrid version can offer an impressive mileage of up to 29 to 30 km.
Following its introduction in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the new hybrid powertrain will be integrated into the Maruti Baleno later in 2026. Subsequently, it will be rolled out to the new-generation Swift in 2027 and the Brezza in 2029.
