Key Questions Answered
When the eggplant plants stop bearing fruit, Dharmveer Singh prunes all their branches from 9 to 11 inches above the ground and waters them thoroughly. This causes new branches and leaves to sprout, allowing the plants to produce strong flowers and fruits once again for up to two years.
Dharmveer Singh planted two distinct varieties of eggplant near his poultry farm: the 'Satputia' variety, which yields white eggplants, and the '704' variety, which bears pink-colored eggplants.
This innovative method enables farmers or ordinary people with limited land, rooftops, or pots to harvest fresh vegetables for up to two years from a single planting. It ultimately saves both the effort and cost of repeatedly planting new crops.
