The Prabandh Nagar scheme was initially proposed in 2008 to be developed on approximately 2,000 acres of land between Hardoi-Sitapur Road and IIM Road. It encompasses a total of 840.892 hectares of land from Ghaila, Kakauli, and Allunagar Diguria villages, which has already been acquired.
Prabandh Nagar is planned as a large township featuring modern residential plots and blocks, extensive commercial areas, wide roads, and green corridors. Once fully developed, it is estimated to provide living and business facilities for about 2 lakh people.
