Key Questions Answered
Eight-year-old Kavya and four-year-old Trisha made a video appealing to the District Magistrate because heavy rains turn the path near their home in Mau, Uttar Pradesh, into a water- and mud-filled route, making it extremely difficult and hazardous for them to walk to school.
Family members stated that they previously tried to make the path walkable themselves by adding soil and bricks, but heavy rainfall caused the condition to deteriorate again, leading to water accumulation and deep mud.
Dr. Manibhushan Tiwari, the Executive Officer of Mau Nagar Palika Parishad, stated that officials are aware of the problem, the road has already been surveyed, and the issue will be resolved soon after completing the necessary procedures.
