Key Questions Answered

Delhi Police issued a final warning because the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), led by Abhijit Dipke, planned an unauthorized 'Lehra Do Tricolour' protest march in Connaught Place on October 16 to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Authorities noted that the march lacked official permission and could paralyze business and traffic in central Delhi.

Anil Kumar Gupta, a cloth merchant from Palika Bazar, informed the Delhi High Court that the proposed protests would severely harm local markets and businesses. Senior Advocate Sachin Puri also warned the court that a protest march in the heart of Connaught Place would bring the entire area to a standstill.

CJP leader Abhijit Dipke announced the October 16 march in a video posted on Wednesday, stating that the protest was organized to oppose the illegal arrest of two CJP members, Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
