Passengers can book bus tickets from home using the 'Me Ticket' app by selecting their boarding point and destination and completing an online payment. A digital ticket featuring a dynamic QR code then appears on the mobile screen, which must be shown to the conductor during the trip. This system eliminates paper tickets, loose change disputes, and waiting in queues.
The revised auto rickshaw meter rates set a minimum fare of thirty rupees for the first 1.6 kilometers, replacing rules that had been in place since 2014. After the initial distance, passengers must pay fourteen rupees for every subsequent kilometer. Additionally, waiting charges are set at seventy-five paise per minute, luggage charges at fifty paise, and night travel between eleven PM and five AM costs one and a half times the normal fare.
