Following a 16-year-old minor rape case at Bageshwar Dham, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri appealed to women and mothers to remain cautious. He advised them not to come alone, to avoid blindly trusting strangers or temple volunteers, and to refrain from staying at the Dham for many days.
According to the prosecution, the minor went to Bageshwar Dham on March 15 after an argument with her mother and met Raju Jatav on March 17. Raju allegedly promised to drop her home, raped her in a nearby field that night, kept her for about 15 days, and took her to Pachore.
