Key Questions Answered

Young women were illegally brought from Bangladesh refugee camps into India and traded for amounts ranging from ₹80,000 to ₹1.20 lakh, with two girls sold in Srinagar for ₹80,000 each. Middlemen received commissions while the remaining money was funneled to Hamdullah in Bangladesh, and the victims were sent for domestic work or planned marriages.

The network was exposed after railway police arrested six Rohingya Muslims, and Bhopal GRP input led to the apprehension of Mubeen from the Swarna Jayanti Express. Subsequent interrogation resulted in a raid at a hideout in Aligarh where two minor girls were recovered, and railway police have now sent a letter to the NIA for further investigation.

Hamdullah lured families from the Kutupalong refugee camp in Bangladesh, after which Mohammad Ali helped them cross the river at night and walk through forest paths into India. From there, the victims were taken to Howrah, sent by train to Aligarh, moved to Jammu, and finally transported via private taxi to Srinagar.
