Delhi Lieutenant Governor Sardar T.S. Sandhu directed that student safety extend beyond university gates to surrounding routes, public transport, and metro stations. Authorities were instructed to increase foot and motorcycle patrolling, eliminate dark spots by repairing street lights, install CCTV cameras on approach roads, and remove encroachments and illegal vendors.

To enhance last-mile connectivity, the Lieutenant Governor instructed an increase in the frequency of U-Special and ladies' special buses, particularly during peak hours from 8 AM to 11 AM and 5 PM to 8 PM. Directives were also issued to regulate autos and battery-rickshaws while promoting schemes like Metro Sarthi and the One Delhi App.

Universities have been directed to establish 'Action Bodies' comprising deans, teachers, students, and hostel wardens for the immediate reporting and redressal of grievances. Institutions must collect regular feedback from students, encourage multimedia reporting of complaints, and register and verify local PGs in coordination with Delhi Police.
