The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) introduced a single security clearance valid for 9 different categories of work with a validity period of 5 years. Companies will no longer need to obtain repeated clearances for separate categories, and clearances will not be withheld solely because a contract has ended if the application was submitted during the contract period.

The entire Aerodrome Entry Permit (AEP) process is moving online. The previous requirement to visit offices for fingerprints will be replaced by online facial biometrics, and a new portal for this is expected to launch in October.

BCAS is bringing key services such as security clearance, audits, and training onto a single digital platform known as e-CAS 2.0. This platform aims to allow application tracking, monitor pending cases, and increase the accountability of officials.
