Prince Kumar, a collection agent, alleged that PSI Dinbandhu Kumar stopped him for riding a bike without a number plate, brought him to the Mahua police station, beat him, and demanded 25,000 rupees before releasing him for 20,000 rupees. Prince submitted a formal application and a pen drive with call recordings to the SDPO Mahua as evidence.
Following instructions from the police headquarters regarding police functioning, eight policemen, including the Mahnar Station House Officer, were previously suspended in Vaishali.
