The next hearing for the money laundering case involving Amit Katyal has been scheduled for October 14 after the investigating agency sought time from the court for preparation.

Following the transfer of Special Judge Vishal Gogane, the responsibility of hearing the case and the framing of charges has been assigned to Special Judge Prashant Kumar.

It is alleged that between 2004 and 2009, while Lalu Prasad Yadav was Railway Minister, land was taken from candidates in exchange for Group D jobs. This land was initially acquired in the name of Katyal's company, AK Infosystems, and its shares were later transferred to the Lalu family in 2014.
