The new Vande Bharat Sleeper train reduces travel time between Mumbai and Bengaluru to less than 16 hours, compared to about 24 hours on the Udyan Express. Operating 6 days a week, the train departing from Bengaluru at 10:00 PM reaches Mumbai at 1:50 PM the next day, while the return train leaves Mumbai at 10:30 PM and arrives in Bengaluru at 2:50 PM the next day.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train halts at major railway stations including Anantapur, Raichur, Guntakal, Kalaburagi, Solapur, Pune, and Kalyan, without passing through Hubballi. Additionally, Solapur and Pune railway stations were selected specifically for drinking water and terminal maintenance works.
To enhance passenger comfort, the train features automatic doors, bio-vacuum toilets, CCTV surveillance cameras, sensor-based water taps, mobile charging points, digital information displays, and an on-board catering service. Passenger safety is ensured through India's indigenous 'Kavach' automatic train protection system and emergency communication devices.
