After Nivritti Fartade failed to open his room door the next day, the lodge owner and relatives knocked repeatedly without getting any response and alerted the police by calling the '112' emergency number. Police subsequently broke open the locked door to find him dead.
Police discovered a saline needle, an intravenous fluid bottle connected to his body, and a bottle of poisonous medicine inside the room. Authorities suspect that a toxic substance may have been mixed into the IV fluid.
Although the exact motive has not yet been definitively confirmed, investigators suspect he resorted to the extreme step because he was already under severe mental stress from serious physical ailments.
