  • •The Goa CEO's office announced a special drive, following ECI instructions, to enroll left-out and newly eligible young voters in the coastal state.

Key Questions Answered

Out of the 97 voters left out from the electoral lists, 88 have successfully filed Form 6 and had their applications accepted, while three are Portuguese passport holders and six are currently residing outside India.

An Indian Express report revealed that verified electors could not be added because the ECI software, ECINet, did not allow the update to be recorded centrally without authorization from Delhi.

Following ECI instructions, the Goa CEO's office is launching a special drive across the coastal state to facilitate the enrolment of left-out eligible citizens as well as young and first-time eligible electors.
