Key Questions Answered

During the 17th over, Axar Patel hit a ball that was spectacularly saved near the boundary by Kamil Pooran. Believing the ball had crossed for a boundary, Tilak and Axar casually walked back to chat, but the West Indies quickly threw the ball to Gudakesh Motie, who dislodged the bails while Tilak was short of his crease.

Tilak explained at a pre-match press conference that both he and Axar genuinely thought the ball went for four runs. Because they did not get a clear look at the ball being thrown back to Axar's end, they started walking away and only realized their mistake after the dismissal decision was made.

The 4th India-West Indies T20I is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 14, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, which is also Tilak Varma's home ground where he will serve as the team's vice-captain.
