Ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, several major SBSP leaders and hundreds of workers in Chandauli collectively resigned from the party. The rebel leaders alleged that the party leadership has strayed from its founding principles, focused excessively on nepotism, and ignored the basic needs of the Rajbhar community and grassroots workers.
Bablu Rajbhar served as the representative for Cabinet Minister and SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar. Amid growing internal discontent, he also announced his resignation from the party with a heavy heart, stating that the organization was completely neglecting its workers and ignoring the basic needs of the Rajbhar community.
Out of the six SBSP MLAs who won in the 2022 elections when the party was allied with the SP, four began driving around with SP flags and skipped meetings called by Om Prakash Rajbhar.
