Key Questions Answered
The Directorate General for Trade Remedies (DGTR) has recommended a continuing anti-dumping duty ranging from $1,553.45 to $2,250.56 per metric ton for another five years on HFC blends imported from China.
The review investigation conducted by the DGTR specifically covered the import of R-407 and R-410 hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) blends from China.
The DGTR estimates that continuing the anti-dumping duty will have a very limited impact on end-product prices, causing increases of approximately 0.35 percent for domestic air conditioners, 0.24 percent for small chillers, and 0.48 percent for small heat pumps.
