Key Questions Answered
Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain were dropped from the PCB commentary panel for the tri-series because Atherton conducted an interview with the sons of jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sky Sports.
During the interview with Michael Atherton, Qasim and Sulaiman Khan alleged that authorities are planning to assassinate their father in prison, that he spends over 23 hours a day alone in a small cell, and that they were denied visas on technical grounds.
The PCB strongly protested the political nature of the broadcast, lodged a formal complaint with Sky Sports, and threatened that Pakistani players would not return to the field after the lunch break.
