Key Questions Answered
Head coach Gautam Gambhir backed the Indian bowlers after West Indies successfully chased down a target of 250 in Ranchi, stating that their careers and jobs are at stake too and that they deserve an even contest between bat and ball.
West Indies captain Shai Hope led his team from the front by scoring an unbeaten 102 runs off 45 deliveries, guiding the visitors to a six-wicket victory with nine balls to spare.
Gambhir noted that heavy dew made the ball slippery and the flat pitch offered little assistance, creating tough conditions for the bowlers to defend a target.
