Key Questions Answered
Due to continuous rain, both India and Pakistan reached the final after their earlier matches were affected and they secured easy wins in their respective semifinals. Earlier in the tournament, continuous rain caused quarterfinal matches like India versus Afghanistan and Pakistan versus Hong Kong to be washed out without a toss, allowing India and Pakistan to advance directly through their higher ICC rankings.
Shreyas Iyer serves as the captain of the Indian men's cricket team, while VVS Laxman acts as the stop-gap or interim head coach for the squad at the Asian Games.
The final clash between India and Pakistan is being held at Koroji Park in Nishin city, where pitch conditions featuring moisture and bright sunshine are expected to create uneven bounce and turn.
