The attack occurred on the night of September 28 after Vinita caught Rakesh Kumar Yadav attempting to steal from the school office. When she raised an alarm and called her husband, the suspects brutally attacked and killed both of them with a spade and an axe to avoid being exposed.
Investigators recovered a bloodstained spade and axe, Rs 34,960 in cash, Vinita’s Aadhaar card, and the clothing worn by the suspects. They also matched a slipper left at the crime scene to Yadav, and tracked his presence using call detail records and mobile location data.
