•NIIT Ltd has appointed former Mercer India CEO Anish Sarkar as its chief executive officer with immediate effect.
•Sarkar succeeds Pankaj Jathar, who stepped down to move back to Bengaluru for personal reasons.
•Prior to joining NIIT, Sarkar served as the managing director for India at Pluxee and as CEO of Mercer India.
•NIIT managing director Vijay Kumar Thadani expressed confidence that Sarkar's diverse experience will drive the company's next phase of growth.

NIIT Ltd appointed former Mercer India CEO Anish Sarkar as its chief executive officer with immediate effect.

Pankaj Jathar decided to step down and move back to Bengaluru for personal reasons, and he also plans to pursue involvement with academia.

Before joining NIIT, Anish Sarkar served as managing director for India at Pluxee and as the CEO of human capital consulting firm Mercer India.
