Key Questions Answered

India has launched an anti-dumping investigation into seven products from China, which include Para-tert-Octyl Phenol Formaldehyde Tackifier Resin, Penicillin G and its salts, 6-Amino Penicillanic Acid, T-Shaped Elevator/Lift Solid Guide Rails, Amoxycillin Trihydrate, Montelukast Sodium, and Copolymer Polyol.

The investigations are carried out by the Directorate General for Trade Remedies (DGTR), an arm of the commerce ministry, while the finance ministry makes the final decision to impose anti-dumping duties.

The DGTR started an anti-circumvention investigation following an allegation by DOZCO India that existing anti-dumping duties on Chinese and Korean alloy steel chisels and hydraulic rock breakers are being avoided by routing the products through Malaysia.
