The deceased jawan, Karamveer Yadav, was found unconscious by passersby near the Bokta-Barwar embankment at Kalesar Zero Point on Sunday night. After they alerted the authorities, he was taken to BRD Medical College, where doctors pronounced him dead.
According to his brother Dharmveer Yadav, Karamveer was returning home on leave on Sunday when he missed his train and decided to travel in a hired vehicle instead.
